REIKI
Reiki, pronounced Ray-Key, means Universal life force energy.
It is a whole and complete energy and can be used anytime, anyplace, for any condition.
Reiki practitioners strive to live by the Reiki principles, which teach us that life is simple and a wonderful experience, and that we should live in harmony with the Universe and with one another:
Just for today, I will not worry
Just for Today, I will not anger
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings
Just for today, I will do my work honestly
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
Every living thing has thousands of Chakras, but Reiki is concentrated on seven main points along the spine, where the energy fields spin.
Chakra is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning spinning wheel or disc.
These points are the Chakras where energy fields store, distribute and regulate the Ki (Life Force Energy) into our physical and outer-physical bodies.
The location of the seven main Chakras also correlate to the major nerve ganglia branching from the spinal column and so connecting with certain parts of the body. In addition, these Chakras also correlate to the different elements of our planet i.e. Air, Earth, Water and Fire, different levels of our consciousness, emotions, senses, colours, body functions, sound, different development periods of life, and much more.Disease occurs when there is disruption or imbalance in the Ki anywhere between the Chakras. An holistic treatment such as Reiki serves to connect with the energy frequency of the particular Chakra(s) necessary to bring it back into balance.
Reiki is a gentle, yet highly effective treatment which can bring about inner peace, profound relaxation and healing on all levels.
This healing system is suitable for all but caution is recommended to those suffering from epilepsy and those wearing a pacemaker.
Psychic Truth Society Reiki Practitioners are:Yvonne Hanson VTCT, IIHHT
Yvonne is a fully qualified holistic therapist and has been performing Reiki for approximately 7 years. As well as serving PTS, she carries out treatments in 3 hospitals in Liverpool and has her own successful private practice.
Ian Wilson
Ian is a qualified hypnotherapist and Indian head masseur and has been attuned in Reiki for over 10 years. As well as carrying out Reiki treatments in the church, he has performed hundreds of therapies around Liverpool as part of a number of community projects.
Reiki treatments are open to anyone and are provided as a drop in service every Wednesday morning 10am – 1pm. Membership of PTS is not a requirement. The Practitioners work on a voluntary basis for PTS and by doing so, the church is then able to offer treatments at a very affordable charge of £5.
All monies received are used to help with the upkeep of the church.
